㊷episode Important decision: I'm going to stop practicing the kickflip. SK8-60
I'm in danger of developing a habit of underkick the more I practice, so I'm going to stop practicing kickflips for now. I came to this decision because once I develop a habit of underkick (which is apparently the most troublesome thing about kickflips), it becomes really difficult (although I feel like I already have enough of a habit of it). I was practicing with the belief that if I kept practicing like I did with the ollie, I would be able to do the kickflip, even if it would take time, so I'm very disappointed.
It's unfortunate that the time passed without any results, but I was once again convinced that my body is more mobile than when I was in my 50s, and that even in my 60s, I am physically capable of attempting air tricks. I want to think of it as a period of preparation to practice my next skateboard trick.
The reason I was hesitant to stop practicing kickflips until the very end was because of my increasing age. As I have mentioned many times before, I've gotten quite used to practicing skateboard tricks, but as I'm getting older, the risk of illness and serious injury is increasing. So I'm still practicing skateboard tricks, even if I don't know if It's uncertain what will happen tomorrow. So I didn't want to put off trying the kickflip, as it's a skateboarding trick I've always admired.I might miss out on the kickflip challenge. As I continue to practice skateboarding tricks, I will research the underkick solution of the kickflip and try again.
